Let’s talk about some fun ways to spend your leisure time here in Davis!

When it comes to recreation, the Activities and Recreation Center will be your one-stop campus resource. You get to pick from a variety of options ranging from fitness and dance classes to crafts and horseback riding lessons. Moreover, UC Davis has some 800-plus student clubs. So there really is something for everyone! Another students’ favorite on-campus spot is our Arboretum. This is heaven for anyone who loves nature or just wants a quiet afternoon away from the campus buzz. In addition to that, our very own Communication Department’s Social Committee organizes events every quarter. Awesome food and great conversations are guaranteed! Outside of campus, our charming downtown offers many entertainment options as well. Get a nice cup of coffee (or tea!) at Temple, hang out at De Vere’s Irish Pub, shop for some fresh fruits & veggies at Davis Farmers Market or try out your favorite cuisine from one of the many restaurants. For those with an insatiable wanderlust, there are several weekend getaways around Davis. Some obvious ones to put on your  travel list are San Francisco, Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley, Muir beach, Lake Tahoe, Monterey, Yosemite National Park, Lake Shasta, and many others.
