The Buddy System from the Department of Communication is a graduate student service designed for incoming first-year students. Each incoming graduate student will be matched with a current graduate student buddy, who will share with the new student information and insights about studying and living in Davis and help the new student prepare and transition to their new life. Communication between the buddies will be primarily informal in nature. The senior buddy will serve as a source of support (in addition to many other sources of support that the department and university provide).
